WHAT IS IT?

​

Help Me Grow is an evidence-based voluntary family support program for pregnant women or new parents. Our home visitors are well-trained professionals who use a non-judgmental and compassionate approach that empowers parents with skills, tools and confidence to nurture the healthy growth of their children.

​

Help Me Grow believes all young children deserve the same opportunities to realize their full potential in life. The parenting education and child development resources provided to families allows them to maximize this critical period of development in their child’s life, providing a foundation for lasting success.

When a parent schedules a home visit with Help Me Grow, they will have the opportunity to share their thoughts about parenting, ask questions, and receive dependable information based on their individual family needs or topics of interest.

• Even better, every visit is free!

Family Connects is a free, in-home nurse visit provided within the first few weeks of a newborn’s arrival. Visits are offered to all families who reside in a participating area. The nurse checks up on the baby’s and the family’s health, screens for potential postnatal health complications, answers questions about welcoming a newborn, and connects the family to resources within their community.

Help Me Grow Home Visiting (ADD) is a free program of the Ohio Department of Children and Youth. Home visiting is a family support program for pregnant individuals and caregivers with young children, promoting healthy growth and development. Each home visit, tailored to a family’s needs, provides support for a healthy pregnancy, tips to help a child stay safe and learn, and an opportunity to ask questions, share concerns and connect with community resources.
